Care Instructions
We want to ensure that your new furniture lasts. For this reason, we have put together a quick and easy guide to help you best maintain the appearance and life of your new lounge. Easy tips on how to make your furniture last <> Avoid from placing your furniture too close to direct heat or air conditioning. <> Avoid sitting on the arms or allow children to jump on your suite. This will shorten the life span of your furniture dramatically. <> Avoid over exposure to sunlight will cause your furniture to fade. <> Avoid pulling loose threads to prevent causing holes. Trim them off neatly with sharp scissors. <> Open and close recliner mechanisms with care. Ensure small children do not swing on them or operate them incorrectly. <> Try and avoid having yourself that ‘favourite seat’, use your whole suite equally. This will keep your furniture looking the same all over and aging as one. <> Over time, perspiration and natural oils from our skins and hair can have an effect on the finish of leather. Where hands, bare arms or heads rest on the hide, wipe over regularly with a slightly damp cotton cloth and a recommended leather cleaning product. Do the same with any areas where pets may have rubbed against your furniture. <> Do not leave newspapers lying on your suite. Ink can stain the cover permanently. Avoid sitting on light coloured suites, in particular pale leathers, wearing denim jeans or non colour-fast dark clothing. The dye can transfer on to your furniture & cause perm. discoloration.
In only a few simple steps, you can take care of your leather lounge and keep it looking new and fresh. Leather is a type of material that is easily maintained. With the right care, leather can actually improve with age, providing you and your family with many years of comfort.

Leather is durable, but not accident or damage proof. We recommend avoiding using or placing sharp objects on your leather upholstery.
Leather upholstery will fade over time. To prolong the life of your leather lounge and keep the colour from fading prematurely, avoid direct and even indirect sunlight.
Do not place furniture directly in front of radiators & other heat sources.
Avoid exposing your leather goods to air pollution. This can cause leather to fade or change colour such as cigar or cigarette smoke and excessive cooking fumes.
We recommend cleaning your lounge with leather cleaner, preferably once a month if the furniture is used daily. Sponge gently until all grime and stains are absorbed, do not rub or scrub the leather.
All accidental spills should be taken care of immediately. Use leather cleaner to remove the spill. Please note: Many common household cleaning products can cause severe damage and costly repairs, and improper cleaning may void warranties etc.
Keep leather free from dust by dusting with a cloth, preferably once a week.
Treat leather with leather protector/conditioner after each cleaning, to retain its softness and attractive appearance.
The most frequent problem with upholstery is predominantly stains and discolouration. Before attempting to remove a stain from your fabric lounge and furniture, it is helpful to know what type of fabric the furniture is covered with. Always test any stain removal method in an inconspicuous area before you start other areas. Remember to follow the manufacturer’s cleaning instructions and only use products they recommend.

Fixed cover fabric suites are recommended to be professionally cleaned at least once a year.
